Through the keyhole

Remember our old bathroom?

These are the changes part the way through....  dont worry I have a blind, pictures and a further (wombled) towel rail to go in.

This is just a taster

Please ignore all of the dust, I keep wiping it all and cleaning it, but we had to sand the walls in between coats of paint.  It is all still in the air.  I didnt take a picure of the mirror with the lights above as it is wonky and I cant make it straight (still cant raise my left arm high enough, else I would have been on that job quick as a flash).

Needs the other things in it, to make it softer, I think.  A little bit too many hard lines at the mo.

What do you think?

Tomorrow, the bed room down stairs so far... I need advise on that also.  So get your interior design heads on.

Looks really good! Hope when I finally get round to building the extension the bathroom looks as good as that!

Thanks Kev, it is slowly getting there. you wouldnt believe it but in the old bathroom, below the shower that you can just see in the left hand corner... there was no floor underneath it! just a void where the wood had rotted through. The man doing it, lifted the shower tray, using a crow bar and with the slightest touch it all crumbled. All fixed now.

I will tell you though, please have under floor heating put into your new bathroom. the plumber talked us out of it. and we have had it in the last 6 houses and I regret it completely. it might cost a little more but it was worth it. Please look into it.

That looks great. My wife watches a show on tv where these two contractors go in and do renovations for people. I think your work look as good as theirs does!

Thanks Harry. They walls are the colour of milk chocolate/snickers outer edge as my Great Niece told me the other day. I love the Property Brothers. They are Canadian I think. Once it is completely done I will show the end result. But I know Kymber loves looking at these types of pictures. have you heard from her or Jam? I hope they are well.

Much more modern and less 70's / 80's. Well done!

What did you do with the big mirror?

Wow what a transformation! much improved, but such a shame to lose the retro look, I'm sure it will come back in fashion hehe :)

Hey Trudie, I am pleased so far. it needs tidying up in some areas and the architrave needs glossing. and I have just noticed some bits that need chaulking. it is coming along. Hope you are well

Hi Dani, the strange man down the road took it, the toilet and some of the broken tiles out of the skip before he realised we have cameras on the outside of the house! lol I dont think these country folk thought they were real. He freaks me out. I cant wait for the front wall and electric gate to be put up. Then when I get a dog he will have to run the gauntlet of stealing things from my skips! Not that I mind, but I had actually thought of reclaiming the mirror in the Workshop to bounce light around.

Hi ya Chickpea, I am sure it will come back in fashion, and by then the germs in the carpet in there would have become their own eco system and become aliens or a new species. Yuck. lol

Hope you are both well.

I checked around. Nobody has heard from Kymber or J in some time. I emailed them direct a few minutes ago to see if they were ok. I warned them about nude swimming down there at their beach. Damn those killer whales!

Property brothers is the very show my wife dotes on. She will watch episode after episode when they have a marathon on the television.

Harry, I hope they reply. Do they really have killer whales there?
