Other Bloggers

I feel like this a lot of the time.  So many blogs inspire me.  Be it they are just talking about their day, or they are more instructional blogs, say for instance about gardening.

So many like minded people that with a few click, a few taps of the keys and I am transported to their house.  Sometimes I have a cup of tea, some times I pop in and out during the day and read posts as they arrive (in my blog feeder of the people who I have managed to find their follow me buttons.  Those are great by the way, if you dont have one please add one.  I am still flumoxed by this google plus thingy.  I would rather be old school.  I know what I am doing with that.)

What has touched me this week?  Well a few things actually seeing as I have only been able to read blogs since Wednesday evening...  how time flies.

Here are my highlights so far, (ps I have commented on blogs again and some of them those comment have got lost in the blogger ether. That annoys me...  I dont know what I do to it but I must do something wrong... right on with the list....)

Loved the 3rd paragraph on {Pioneer Preppy's blog}.  Frolicking sheep....

I actually started blogging, way back in 2006, due to Trolls, I gave up for a few years and deleted the old blog.  One of my top reads when previously blogging, is the incredibly inspiring Gavin, of The Greening of Gavin.  Like a modern day Tom Good, he gardens and is as self sufficient as you can get in the suburbs.  An amazing read.  I really appreciated {this post}, as I am hugely interested in having solar panels.  And to (hopefully), go back to growing huge amounts of veggies that we need.  Go read the blog.

New people I have found recently and their lives are how I hope we will be in a few years...

Have a great weekend.

Be kind.

Oh, wow ! Thank you for the mention. You can always drop in for a cuppa. :)
I also dip in and out of blogs during the day and enjoy reading them so much that sometimes it is hard to get away from the computer. Let alone do something productive. xxx...x

Like you, I enjoy the world of blog, people sharing their ideas and thoughts, glimpses of this and that. I flit around, sometimes comment, sometimes not and occasionally have my comments disappear without trace. I reckon it has saved me a small fortune as I never feel the need to buy the glossy magazines which used to tempt me! How are things going with that beautiful old chair?

(Windows 10 stole my computer for over 90 minutes today, without my permission, I was just a bit grumpy about that.)

I know what you and Alan mean Sol. It's good to have things in common with other people.

Hey PP, I am sure it is something I am doing... but then also Fliss said she has had problems...

Hi there Kymber. hope you are feeling better. We are silly people who believe that we can turn this wreck of a house back into a home. Came back from Vienna to the garage flooded and a damp patch in the kitchen where we presume the roof has leaked. Ho hum...

Fliss, the chair is on hold till the new year when I will push on to find someone to help reupolster it and I also need someone who can take care of a sampler I have that is disintegrating in some areas and the frame is falling apart.

Dave, sometimes I feel that my real life family and friends think I am a bit nutty, wanting to eventually have a small holding and to be self sufficient as we can be. Not that long ago my Grandparents lived like that. All through the wars and before. We need to get more in touch with all of that stuff as I dont think we can rely on the government if there was any problems. Petrol is now 99p here. We are past peak oil. We need to prepare. life isnt going to be the same, tool up, skill up, prepare. I dont mean in crazy war or EMP or anything like that. But more that things are going to be so expensive, what was cheap before and we have become reliant on easy to get items. That we should look to know how to make it ourselves. This comment is turning into a blog post in itself. so will be quiet now.
