I always thought, Sol, even before he made his first 007 appearance, that he was closer to the Bond of the Fleming novels than Connery was. I'd been wanting him to take on the role before he was even suggested for the part. (Honestly!)

Hi Ray, what a sad day all round. I loved both Roger Moore had the looks and the timing, but Seany Sean, as he is known in our house - he can talk me to sleep any night of the week! ;)

I heard he was gone on the news this morning. I think it was cancer.

Love,
Janie

Cancer is a sod isnt it. Last year it claimed too many of my family. I hope they find a cure soon.

Cancer, coupled with the fact he was 86. That helps.

Hey Sadie, I also had laundry going at the same time, 4 lots on the line and planted up some bits for the garden to make it look nice. I also washed the windows, down stairs that isnt on the list. I started at 5 am! lol

Hi Linda, he was amazing he did so much work for charities also.

By all accounts he was a gentleman. Not many left these days.

Harry you are completely right. Not many gentlemen at all. We are sinking to the lowest common denominator.
