House sale

Our house sale has just fallen through.  Gutted, we would have been moving next month.  Back on the market it goes.  Better luck next time right!?

Oh No bad news indeed. House selling and buying is fraught with complications nowadays. Next time fingers crossed for you

oh crap Sol - this must make you feel very dis-enheartened (is that a word?). and yes, i will give you all of the platitudes of "it just wasn't meant to be" and "everything will happen in due time" but it SUCKS when things don't go as you planned them - especially when you are a good planner! i am sorry for this set-back - but honey - after seeing your carpeted bathroom, the waterfall in your kitchen and that gawd-awful chimney thing - if there is anything that you can't do - i'd like to hear about it!

chin up! get back atter! and it will all happen in due time. i promise.

sending you love, as always! your friend,
kymber

Oh no, what a shame, fingers crossed for a quick offer.

Don't you wish that the Scottish process of house buying and selling was in place here? Best of luck in finding new buyers. xx

Oh Sol that is terrible news. I hope you get another offer darn soon!!! After all that work and the problems you have had recently you deserve good news!!!! FTOO ftoo ftoo, keeping that evil eye off you!!!

Thanks Janet, I hope it works out. We found the perfect house right next to the beach. I hope some how the estate agents pull it out of the hat.

Hey Sue, I hope it is easier next time. And there I was yesterday and the day before being super excited and inspired. urgh!!!

Oh Kymber, I am a little fighting off the tears. I spoke to 97 year old granny mack. And she said, "Hen, yu cannae expect life to be eazay. I gonna send them dreich weather and a piece o' shite. Numpties. Have some alcohol, speak to me tomorrow". Nothing like a Glaswegian Granny to tell it how it is. I am not sure if she meant a poop sandwich or she just wants to send them some poop, who knows. Mr's Aunty said it is a little nudge that we should be moving to Scotland and not Cornwall... I am beginning to doubt myself now. :(

Hey Thrift Deluxe, fingers crossed. Am a bit delicate right now. I have packed quite a bit of the house... silly me

Toffeeapple, yes you are completely right! Sign as soon as you agree a price not messing around. Thank you for your luck!!!

Hey Linda, thank you for keeping the evil eye off of me. I should check the eye at the front door the glass is probably cracked. Will have to bury it in the garden.

Oh no! I know you said there were problems but I hoped it would eventually go OK. Fingers crossed for another offer soon. X

Hey Jules, maybe the fates are telling is something? Hopefully another buyer will come forward...?

Sorry to hear this, Sol. Deeply disappointing and frustrating for both of you. Like everyone else, I sincerely hope that you have another committed and confirmed buyer soon.

Hey Elaine, thanks for you thoughts. I am a bit sad right now. But we have to face it and carry on. Obviously some one else will probably buy the house we wanted. Which will be a further blow this weekend. Just keep swimming right?

Elaine said...

Keep swimming and remember, even if you do lose that one, there may well be an even better one with your name on. All will be well, even if it tries your patience and your spirit. It will all come together.x

Sorry to read about your house sale hitting problems. I am sure it will all turn out well in the end. Chin up Sol and have a break somewhere.

Awwww - hugs....

Oh Jeez - and DAMN! It's the situation one always dreads happening, yet experience shows that it just does and too often. I hope it was only because the 'right' buyer is about to reveal him/herself, and pretty soon too.

Hey Elaine, we have spoken directly with the vendor of the house in Cornwall and they said they will wait. Apparently when they met us, they really liked us and thought their mum would have liked us also. The problem is, we have got it for a steal and Im worried someone will offer crazy on it and the vendors wont be able to say no as they have kids, who will at some point need to go to uni and get houses. we will see.

Hi Dave, it is a real kick in the head. I havent really ever mentally moved in somewhere. I had even worked out certain walks and how far the gym was away... urgh feel gip about it all. :(

Hey dani, I thankfully and gratefully receive all hugs. much needed. My nerves are shot.

Hey Ray, I am banking on it selling soon. I am in limbo at the mo, have been for months. I mentally moved out at Christmas, but we werent ready because of the kitchen. The new house is hideous in most rooms. Mustard coloured carpets and purple walls. If there is one colour I am really not keen on it is purple in all hues. I dont know why, I just dont like it much. Lets hope it is still there!
