A complete change from the subject of late.  I enjoyed this on the ipad with my dad.

Enjoy.

Really interesting. Unfortunately I couldn't hear the commentary because of some very noisy kids. I'll be watching it again!

Ha ha I have had a 4 year old chatting my ear off since 5 am and a 2 year old that is addicted to mobile phones or ipads. My mum normally looks after them but since her fall she is a little bashed up. We have made cakes and flapjack and prepped dinner for everyone, 4 slow cookers on the go! woo hoo go me!

That's all very well, but for the sake of authenticity shouldn't it TASTE 2,000 years old? :-)

Ha ha Ray for you, I would kick it around the floor a bit and then put it in the compost pile for a day... Hows that? I sure would think it would taste 2000 years old after that! he he

The string is very clever. I have used string to cut dough into pieces for rolls. Now I use a pizza cutter.

Love,
Janie

Been to Pompeii a couple of ties but never picked up on that bread.I'm sure you could make the dough in a bread maker and then cook it in the oven

Hey Janie, the string is clever, I have seen something like this in Oman years ago. A man calling out in the street in the market, with a long pole and on the pole was bread kind of like this hanging off of little hooks. And small round like a bagel but bigger made like a pretzel with seeds and salt nibs. Yum

Hey Bill, Pompeii is amazing isnt it. The bread in the video is based on that found in Pompeii post erruption//ash and still in a kitchen. They were remaking it to see what it tasted like. I think it is pretty cool
