The Future is Here

I saw this single person car in Quimper, Brittany.

{Renault Twizy}, electric car.

We have a pizza delivery company here which uses one of those. There's a lot of money in pizzas.

Looks cool...but would it crumple in a wreck?

:-/

No good for pick-ups, then.

Tom, I have never seen one before.

Susie, they are road worthy so I cant see that they would let out on the roads if it would crumple.

Ray, it will make parking super easy. it is the best option for lone drivers... and you don't have to sit near weird people on the bus

Sol, re your weird people on bus comment - I often note that when I'm sitting and the bus is filling up, the seat next to me always seems to be the very LAST to be occupied. Wonder if I'm looking to see myself as being 'persecuted'. However, it's still true.

Great if you're just one person going from A to B. But if you have a partner, or lots of luggage/shopping etc, it wouldn't be much use. It must be really cheap to run though.

I could run completely over that thing in my F250 Long Bed Extended Cab diesel truck, and not even know it!

It looks cool, though, I must say.

If I drove it here, I would get beaten up in town. It would be like all the other chickens pecking a different chicken to death. ;-)

Nick it is perfect for all the people who drive a mile to work with no one else in the car.

Harry I wonder if it can be charged from solar panels. if so, its free transport once the car is paid for. with good care taken of the batteries, all you will need to replace is those batteries when they really have had it.

time to invest some money in the people who manufacture the batteries. tata is now also making cars.

The years of petrol and diesel engines will come to an end.

They are starting to make hydrogen in Scotland. Cars running on that will be quicker to the market. Then the government will want their slice of taxes.

we live in very exciting times.

Ray I have seen people licking the hand rain in front to name but a few strange things on the bus... nice eh

Sol said...

Dani I think it is cool. it shows people are moving away from gas guzzlers

Sol, the story about Glasgow University finding a fast process of producing hydrogen fuel is very exciting. The sooner petrol and diesel vehicles are phased out the better.

Nick, I have spoken to my great niece who is 7 about things that have been invented or become a consumable in my life time.

She laughed her head off. she thought I was talking carp! lol and that always was the way things worked. Turn your sky box on from your mobile phone and record TV when you are running late from a friends house, yep tick. Dial up the internet, go and make a cup of tea whilst it connects? WHAT?

lol Kids eh? lol Lifes changing I am just trying to keep up.
