Ticket to Ride

With some in trepidation we sent our passports off last week to be renewed.  After the chaos of the summer where they had half a million applications in a backlog.  I am pleased as punch that ours only took 4 days to be turned around.  Very VERY pleased.

Not that we are going anywhere just yet, but who knows!

And how can you compete when a toilet sells for £415,000!  *le sigh*

You are soooo lucky to have all the reclaimation yards that you do in the UK. Couldn't you find a cheaper loo there?

Brother - that loo better have a large footprint. Half a million quid - that's hectic. And, that's before they do any renovations...!!

Hey Chickpea, yes it is!

Dani we are lucky with the reclaimation yards, there is an excellent one like steptoe and son in Wiltshire near chippenham on a back road in the middle of what feels like no where. You have to slide sideways around the whole place.

Goodness me! Things really have moved on since the days of 'spending a penny'!

Hey Ray, seriously £415k? omg

its 20p to go to the loo in either Burford or Bourton on the water. I cant remember where it was, but I was blown away but them. So clean and nice not like normal public loos. I should have taken a picture. lol

Any cheap and good holiday suggestions, Sol? Could do with some where warm and before summer time.

Sol - Not sure of your budget, but If you'd fancy a place in Suffolk won't you please drop me a line with your e-mail addy...? Large grounds - currently being run as a caravan park with veggie patch big enough to sell the produce.

Just a thought.

the public toilets at Rushden are superbly managed and decorated, I would recommend them highly.

Hey Dave, depends where you like? are you sailing? into walking?

Cambodia is a fav of ours. Or if you want how Italy was in the 50's how about Croatia?

Hey Dani, we need to stay near the M5/M4 for jobs. Its a pain. But thanks for the offer of help.

Hey Toffeeapple, is it weird we know where the nice toilets are!?

I think it takes 6 weeks to get a new passport here. Renewing is faster but it's really expensive if expedited.
