My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2

Greece 2011

Its no secret that I love TV and films.  My favourite films are You've Got Mail, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, ET, Ghostbusters, Sleepless in Seattle and My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

On Saturday, following some early morning gardening (potting on), we hot fotted it  drove to the nearest cinema in the big town.  There with our contraband bottles of coke zero and a milky way each, I got to see My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2.  Loved it.  I laughed my head off when they are having their pictures taken.

Obviously the whole cast is older, the first film was out in 2002.  Some people have had too many fillers and too much botox and have duck lips.  No matter I still laughed.

I give it 7/10.  Which is high praise from me.

I love hearing about people's favourite films. Mine are 84 Charing Cross Road, A Room with a View, and the TV adaptation of Persuasion starring Cierhan Hinds and Anna Root. Oh, and I love Zulu, too! And The Holiday. And almost anything starring Diane Keaton. And the musical Gigi ... oh and loads of others ...

This has been and gone from these environs. I wasn't drawn to see it as the first, which I saw, did very little for me. Majority opinion seems to be that this isn't as 'good' as the first, though that doesn't mean they are right, of course. However, in view of your approval, if it comes back (as some successful films tend to do here for just a very short spell) I'll give it more serious thought.

Hey Margaret, I also forgot One of our dinosaurs is missing. I wasnt born when it came out, but I love it. I cant think of the name, but there is that film with Diane Keaton and she has a baby and she makes apple sauce in the country and falls in love with the vet. I could google it but I cant be bothered.

Hi Ray, it is in no way high brow, if it is on the TV then for sure watch it. Its a sentimental funny film.

Sol, I have that film! Someone recommended it to me and I loved it although it's totally bonkers! It's called Baby Boom and I only watched it a few weeks ago!

I tried leaving a message but I don't think it worked: the film you mention is Baby Boom, and I have that. It was recommended to me and I watched it just a few weeks ago. Loved it, totally mad but that doesn't mean it wasn't enjoyable!

Oh John, the picture thing made me nearly wet myself. I can imagine myself with my best friends saying it. I really liked it. if people are going to see it, I think you have to have loved the first one.

Margaret, I like that film a lot. But I like a lot of the 80's films, they still had class, they werent as violent.
