We Are...

I had a comments conversation over at {Dave's Blog} one day, about the music I listen to.  I really like Kate Rusby, you will know her from singing the theme tune to Jam and Jeruselem.

I've been lucky enough to see her live.  She is very pretty and has gorgeous hair.

I also like this one.

I can be found many times a week dancing like a demented wannabe {Lord of the Dance} person.  Whirling around with my Dyson Stick.  Pretending I know how to dance, and weird moves learnt doing country dancing at primary school where I refused to hold the hands of the boy they kept partnering me with.  He was pretty disgusting.  He now runs a supermarket.  Strange old world.

What type of music do you like?

Thanks for mentioning my blog, Sol. My music taste is very eclectic. From heavy rock to folk to brass bands. I seem to prefer music from the seventies and eighties the most. My children call it "hippy" music.

Hey Dave, I listen to lots of different types of music. Was there a lot of hippy music in the 80's?

I think a lot of bands had seventies influences Sol. For example one of my favourite Prog Rock bands Marillion are said to sound like early Genesis. How old are you ish Sol? I am 51 and feeling it!

Sol - both me and jam love a bunch of different types of music going all the way back to big band (i lindy hop and am trying to teach jam), early 50's and 60's music, jam loves disco and i like it too, grunge, techno, dance and electronic. between the 2 of us we have quite the shared playlist. we have regular "dances" in our computer room and love to sing and dance - it's great exercise for the body, heart and mind.

your friend,
kymber

I like lots of music, but I generally listen to folk/country.

And I jam with my Nephew both of is on guitars, he is 9. He plays a mean Oasis wonderwall. LOL he tells me off. Dont sing or hum Sol. lol I think I am in perfect tune but I have seen myself on a video. lol No pop idol for me!

I like smooth jazz, but I can do a waltz, foxtrot,or jitterbug. Not that there is much opportunity to do so in Appalachia.

Lately in the workshop I've been listening to Johnny Cash, The Clash, Incubus, Supergrass and Blur. A good mix for the evening!
