Spent years thinking I liked it because everyone else seemed to, then realised that I didn't HAVE to do so, so since then I don't.
Rather like Coke (the drink, I mean). How people can drink that stuff past the first swig - which MAY be refreshing on a hot day, but after that it just blows me up. Maybe there's something wrong with me.Raybeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12424095016313843883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5275239266133000382.post-86532830047983735612014-07-15T17:31:38.615+01:002014-07-15T17:31:38.615+01:00Hi John, you can get the pictures from the road bu...Hi John, you can get the pictures from the road but I wanted to go on the train. I would say to anyone, maybe don't waste your money on the train until you have driven by it to see if you can get the pictures. it is 2 hours there, 1.5 hours in an area of a captive audience, every thing is super expensive food wise and nothing to do or look at other than the ferry to Skye. but yes the pictures are lovely. and I am pleased I went

Hey Harry. Scotland is and will always be close to my heart. Our next set of adventures will be in Wales, Northern Ireland and hopefully Germany and The Netherlands. I want a caravan. we will see

Susie. I have a Gryffindor and a Hufflepuff hoodie! lol like the one the boy is holding in the 2nd picture! Roar Roar Gryffindor!

Hi Ya Ray. I love HP sauce, its a shame it isn't made in England any more. kind of wrong when it has pictures of London on the label.

Bloody stupid women with their heads in the stream. they took half an age to take the damn pictures as well so it was really hard to get any pictures with out some ladies head or black hair in your own picture.

the carriages are probably from the 50's so people weren't that tall or fat as they are now. A man and lady sat over the aisle from us and they moaned the whole way it spoilt it for us. They weren't hugely fat, but the table sure dug into them. and the couple from Norway who were opposite them couldn't get their legs under the table. 2 hours there and then 2 hours back. wow with your knees around your ears. Best go by car and take pictures from the road.Solhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10518631542782309728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5275239266133000382.post-20695125035072672482014-07-15T15:40:26.142+01:002014-07-15T15:40:26.142+01:00Wow! So for true aficianados of the series they'll be collectables.
Maybe someone ought to have suggested to those silly photographers it would have been better if they'd got down and laid ON the line!

I also hate to sit at tables in trains. On going up north-eastwards last week my reserved seat was one such, which I had to share with three women AND a baby! At my six foot it's murder not being able to stretch ones legs, even though in my case the journey from Kings X to Darlington was a mere 2 1/2 hours. But still! I went to Stirling Castle on a Royal Navy bus in 1977, but I can't remember much about the scenery. I remember a huge room full of regimental silver from now defunct regiments of the Royal Army.
