When I was in Thailand we stayed at the hellfire pass. We had a tour that took us to the war graves. Oh Ray it was heart breaking, most of them werent even 25. <br /><br />People also forget what the husbands and wives and children of people in the forces endure. Months of a parent not being there, being moved maybe every 2 years. The worry of someone arriving at the door in uniform. It's good to read now and then the stanzas each side of the lines which we all know, and for which the poet is remembered now practically to the exclusion of everything else he wrote.
