Ever. The Mr never wanted to 'move to the Motherland'. And obviously it is colder than Cornwall. Yes it will take a time. But like Toffeeapple, people have been super friendly. lol Even if they are a little taken back at first by how English I sound. (their words not mine. on meeting me at the Scottish WI. 2 both said on seperate occassions on the same night, "we will learn the Queens English from you wont we" and another "oh, I didnt expect you to sound like that! You are English arent you!" so heck knows who I sound like.

Toffeeapple, I was completely ready to stay in Cornwall. The dream the beach at the bottom of the road, never having to remember a coat as it wasnt cold enough and wearing Toms all year round. I kind of had the dream for a year. But I am determined to become part of the community here. First WI, and in the new year I am hoping to get into the local volunteer group that clean up the rubbish from the verges (my absolute pet hate is people throwing things from cars or lorries into the verges and hedges, drives me bonkers). You are going to like a lot of my pictures soon then
Solhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10518631542782309728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5275239266133000382.post-19588861283892059782018-12-16T19:35:45.192+00:002018-12-16T19:35:45.192+00:00Good thinking! No wonder you're still finding your way around and have no time....or inclinations for blogs.
I really hope your father gets strong. You have a wonderful family I remember, a family who stick together and looks after each other.
I added a note about the chickpeas. They are called revithia' in Greek and are very popular. We cook dried chickpeas, soaked overnight , but tinned ones would be so much easier. A good hearty soup on those cold days up north!
Good luck to you and your hubby. Hope you enjoy the change. You've had a lot to deal with, it's hardly surprising you've been absent from here. I really hope you're both settled in your new home and I'm looking forward to reading more about it.
