chantilly Chateau #3

Some more of the inside.  You know what I really liked about it all?  You were allowed to take pictures inside.  That is incredibly rare now.  No flash, but I can live with that.  So many stately homes don't allow photography.  Loved that about the French historical sites.

If you haven't worked it out yet I am seriously in to historic houses, castles and museums.  I was once known to spend 5 hours in Cirencester museum.  My friends poke fun that it is the size of a house and I had to read every caption and board.  history bore...

Thanks for your tip re photos, I shall try it next time.
That took me back to a week we spent in the Loire, such a lovely region to explore. One of my favourite chateaux was Villandry.
